Mad, Sad, or Glad
Psalm 9:1-2 "I will give thanks to the LORD with all
my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and exult in You; I
will sing praise to Your name, O Most High."
Gladness is an attitude of the heart. Totally committed
thankfulness is a choice. Speaking of that gratitude is a blessing to all.
Celebrating the goodness of God will bring a song of praise out of our spirits.
Naming Christ as the recipient of all glory will put our minds in perspective.
In this world today there are too many things that are saddening and maddening.
Inexplicable cruelty, hard- heartedness, exploitation, wickedness, injustice
and oppression are rampant.
The only defense we have against being sucked into a
vortex of negativity is to choose not to be. We must fight the good fight of
our faith with hope and love. Let gladness overwhelm you so you can offer the
gospel with integrity. Choose today to be glad, not mad or sad, by thanking
God, speaking of His goodness and by celebrating His praises. He desires to
turn our mourning into dancing.
Rejoice in Him,
Pastor Fred
