“Angering Christ”

Mark 3:5 "After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart..."

What makes Jesus angry? Remember, Jesus is only capable of righteous anger. We are rarely righteously angry. Let me set the scene. It is the Sabbath and the religious types are waiting to set Him up. So a man with a withered hand comes in and the question is, will Jesus break the Law and heal on the Sabbath. Of course He does. This verse takes place right before He heals the man. Jesus was angry specifically at each of them for their hardness of heart. Their total lack of compassion. What else makes Him angry you may ask? Here is a short list in addition to hard-heartedness.

1. Greed
2. Spiritual Pride
3. Superiority
4. Lukewarm Living
5. Hypocrisy

Pretty convicting huh? What on the list would come to His mind if He looked at me? I just need to have a few moments here to deal with my own convictions. You feel free to deal with yours.
