"Imperatives"

James 4:7-11 "...sumit to God...resist the the devil...draw near to God...cleanse Your hands...purify your hearts...lament and mourn and weep...humble youselves...do not speak evil of one another... 

James uses a lot of imperatives in these verses. In other terms, here are some "re" words to remember in our daily walk. 

Relinquish control of your life
Resist the devil
Restore worship as a priority
Renounce sinful actions
Reject sinful attitudes
React to sin with sorrow
Refrain from a frivolous attitude toward evil
Respond humbly to success
Refuse to slander your fellow Christians

Do this and restore your joy and refresh your spirit.
