Plans Against You

Acts 9:23-25 "After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him, but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him. But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall." Wow! Not only do we not like you changing, now we want to kill you. Not only do we want to kill you, we are actually conspiring and planning to kill you and lying in wait for an opportunity to do it. But Saul's new brothers and sisters have his back and pirate him out of Damascus. They found out that there was a plot and foiled it. We must protect each other as believers. It grieves God that we turn on each other and hurt each other. We have enemies in the world, we sure don't need them in His church. This is why we are warned not to consume one another with pettiness, bickering and naysaying. We must resist the temptations to hurt His Body. He already suffered and bled and died. Whatever it is, get over it. Forgive and move on. The early church struggled with this and we still do today. I heard it said recently that there will be no unity in our country until there is far more unity among believers. Let us pray with a broken, forgiving heart seeking forgiveness.
