Encouragers

Acts 9:27 "Barnabas took him and brought him to the Apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus." We need encouragement. This is why we do encouragement cards regularly as part of Grace Harbor's ministry. This is why I admire and appreciate Barnabas so much. Just now I left a voicemail for a brother who is feeling down. I actually just now stopped in mid-sentence and left the message for fear I would not follow through later. The Lord bought it to my attention earlier today, then reminded me about an hour ago, then convicted me as I began this devotional. I just now heard back the update and appreciation for my encouragement from this brother as I wrap up this writing. God wants to use us all as encouragers. Maybe we could start by not being so discouraging. Encourage one another my brothers and sisters. Barnabas sets us a great example as he becomes an advocate for a misunderstood Saul. Those of you who are discouraged, reach out and encourage someone else. It will encourage you, it did me. Pastor Fred
