"Who Is Like God?"

Micah 7:18-19 "Who is a God like you, who pardoned sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us, you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea."

I enjoy answering the Bible's rhetorical questions, when I can. The answer to the question of verse 18 is that nobody is like God, period. He alone is who He is and there is no one like Him.

A little checklist of His uniqueness.

□ He alone pardons sin
□ He alone forgives transgression
□ He alone has a remnant that will inherit
□ He alone does not stay angry forever
□ He alone delights to show mercy
□ He alone will again have compassion
□ He alone will tread our sins underfoot
□ He alone will hurl our iniquities to the depths of the sea

Only God can do this. Our merciful, living forgiving, compassionate, pardoning, delighting Father. Be encouraged today, God is faithful.
