Today, just three (3) scripture verses that have given me strength and
encouragement at really low points in my life:
“But
you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham
my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I
called you. I said, ‘You are my
servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be
dismayed, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right
hand. “All who rage against you will
surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and
perish. Though you search for your
enemies, you will not find them. Those
who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of
your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, you worm Jacob, little
Israel, do not fear, for I myself will help you,” declares the Lord, your
Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 41:8-14
“Praise
the LORD, my soul, and forget not all His benefits—who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you
with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that
your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD works righteousness and
justice for all the oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to
the people of Israel: The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger,
abounding in love. He will not always
accuse, nor will He harbor His anger forever; He does not treat us as our sins
deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the
earth, so great is His love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from
the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm
103:2-13
“On
this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all
peoples, a banquet of aged wine—the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain He will destroy the shroud
that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; He will swallow up
death forever. The Sovereign Lord will
wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove His people’s disgrace from
all the earth. The Lord has spoken.” Isaiah
25:6-8
